The CrossFit Games 2021 are on the horizon, and many of the participants are incredibly excited. Other than the traditional CrossFit Games, events for women will be held. We all know about the Reebok's equipment, Pegboard contest, cutting system, and women's event. However, we don't know much. Read on to find out more. Women's competition

The women's competition at the 2021 Crossfit Games began this morning with the swim event. Jonne and Tia Claire Toomey-Orr won the first competition. After maintaining her lead throughout competition, Koski was declared the overall winner. Tall finished second and Eramoo O’Connell third, respectively. This was the first Games event for women and the women's team hoped to finish the podium.

The field is full of top-level athletes in the women's competition. The field includes nine athletes. One of them is a 19-year old powerhouse, who won the Australian competition last year. Kara Saunders of Australia, who was second in Australia and eleventh in the world in 2020, are also contenders. Another rising star is Andrea Nisler, who competed in the team division in 2018 and finished third in the United States and fifteenth overall in 2020. This competition will include these athletes and Sara Sigmundsdottir of Iceland, a newcomer to Crossfit. She won the first place Medal at the World Crossfit Games earlier.

Pegboard contest

Pegboard competition at Crossfit Games 2021 was the first. It was also added to the Games' Olympic summer program. Toomey-Orr held the record for most Games wins with 30. Sager won Event 11 for the men and took home his third Games victory. There were several tie in the contest but Toomey Orr's dominance was too strong to stop him winning.

CrossFit must also answer the question of how it will adjust the points following cuts. It's probable that the scoring table used for the 2019 games will remain nearly the same as the one used in 2021.

This year's CrossFit Games field includes 236 athletes. It is the largest ever. Major cuts occur in the first six events. The field is then reduced to 75 athletes. The top 30 finishers compete in a sprint pairt to determine who is the top ten. The top 20 competitors then compete for the remaining six events. Veteran Games participants criticized Castro's system, claiming that the cuts were too drastic.

Reebok's equipment

Reebok announces new CrossFit Games clothing, shoes and other equipment. The Nano X1 shoes are the new model. They are built to accommodate multiple fitness needs. Although Reebok calls this shoe "the shoe for fitness", it feels more like a training shoe. DuPont's Kevlar, which promotes durability, breathability, and strength, is the shoe's upper. The shoe's responsiveness is enhanced by the RopePro tech and a firm midsole.
