
CrossFit Games 2021 is nearing and many participants are excited. Along with the usual CrossFit Games competitions like those for men, there will also be events for women. Women's competition
The swim event was the start of the women's division at the 2021 Crossfit Games. Jonne and Tia Claire Toomey-Orr won the first competition. After maintaining her lead throughout competition, Koski was declared the overall winner. Tall and Eramoo Connell were second and third, each. It was the first Games for women, and the women's side hoped to complete the podium.
The women's competition is filled with top-level athletes. The field comprises nine athletes, one of whom is a teenager who won the competition in Australia last summer. Other contenders are Australian athlete Kara Saunders, who finished second in Australia and eleventh worldwide in 2020. Another rising star is Andrea Nisler, who competed in the team division in 2018 and finished third in the United States and fifteenth overall in 2020. The Women's competition will feature these athletes as well as Sara Sigmundsdottir (an Icelandan competitor who won the first place medal at World Crossfit Games earlier last year).
Pegboard contest
Pegboard competition at Crossfit Games 2021 was the first. It was added to the Games' summer Olympic program along with double-unders and dumbbell overhead squats. Toomey-Orr held the record for most Games wins with 30. Sager won Event 11 and became the Games' third winner. While there were many tie-breakers, ToomeyOrr's dominance was enough to win the contest.

Athletes train for the CrossFit Games by focusing on ten general physical fitness skills: cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, and agility. Pegboard tests the grip strength and coordination of competitors. Competitors hold two wooden pegs between each hand and compete to win. Cutting system
CrossFit Games has a new cutting system for individual competition. The cuts are not as severe as those used in past Games but they are still very different. The competition has 15 individual events. Therefore, it's likely that the first cut of 30 athletes will occur after the seventh or eight event. Another question remains: how will CrossFit adjust the points spread following cuts? It's probable that the scoring table used for the 2019 games will remain nearly the same as the one used in 2021.
This year's field consists of 236 athletes, making it the largest in the history of the CrossFit Games. The six first events lead to major cuts. The field is now reduced to 75. The top 30 then compete in a sprint couplet to determine the top ten. From there, the top 20 athletes compete in the remaining six events. Castro's system was criticized by veterans Games participants who felt the cuts were too large.
Reebok equipment
Reebok has announced new sports shoes, clothing, and other equipment for the CrossFit Games. The Nano X1 is the new shoe. They are built to accommodate multiple fitness needs. Although Reebok calls this shoe "the shoe for fitness", it feels more like a training shoe. The shoe's upper is made from DuPont's Kevlar material, which promotes durability and breathability. The shoe's responsiveness can be enhanced by its firm midsole and RopePro Tech.

CrossFit's agreement with Reebok will end at 2020. No title sponsor will be available for the Games. Reebok has sponsored these Games for over a decade. However, it now appears that the company's involvement in the Games is decreasing. However, the company will no longer refer to itself as the "Reebok CrossFit Games" as it does now.
